Last Farm, the

General Quest

You'll find Gatson standing outside a house on his farm, north of Kingsfell and east of Esteldin.

Gatson is worried that his farm will fall to the Orcs, as have all the other farms in the North Downs, if he does not get some help fighting them. He has been helping some Rangers, and wants to call in a favor, with you as the messenger.

STEPS:

1) Talk to Orthonn. Gatson directs you:

"..I take their goods to a Ranger who camps out near those old ruins to the northwest of my farm. Ost Lagoros is what they call it, I think. The fellow's name is Orthonn."

Head northwest of the farm and you'll find him on top of a wall, in a place called Ost Lagoros. On your in-game map, he is smack dab on top of the "D" in "Annundir" (9.4s, 47.3w). Proving that there are two sides to every story, it turns out that Orthonn warned Gatson to flee south, and for his own safety he must leave immediately.

2) Talk to Gatson. It seems Gatson is going to be stubborn.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, The Orc Threat.
