General Quest

NOTE: This quest will only be available to you after you complete the Scattered Belongings quest given by Aglardir.

Gandelin tells you how the Ongburz Orcs have a defiler now, that kills the Kingsfell spiders for their venom, and then uses it on their arrows and weapons. She wants you to collect these venom pouches, and then "put an end to the source of the vile poison" by killing the defiler.

STEPS:

1) Collect 12 Ongburz venom-pouches. Defeat the Ongburz Defiler. Gandelin gives you further direction:

"The stream that feeds the fens of Meluinen falls from the hills northwest of Lin Giliath. Beside this river, Orcs of the Ongburz tribe are threatening Lin Giliath from on high."

Those directions are solid--you will find Ongburz Orcs (level 25-27) near the river, southwestish of Kingsfell and northwestish of Meluinen, as well as many in an area called Gurzlum (13s, 45.9w). The Skirmisher's Venom-Pouches will be a body drop, and note that they do not drop every time. In Gurzlum, you will see a fort. Head inside, get the rest of your pouches (if you need any), and you'll find the Ongburz Defiler (level 28 Elite, with 3,783 morale and 660 power) not far within the encampment (12.6s, 46.3w). While this is a fellowship quest, Brasse (29 Guardian) and myself (29 Hunter) had no difficulty in dispatching this hefty Orc.

2) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and Aegor.
