General QuestEriac tells you how Ivar has the power to put evil spirits into dead bodies. Eriac wants you to help put a stop to this by killing some Gaunt Protectors, which are the Gaunt-men that command many of the wights that live in the ruins of Agamaur.
NOTE: Agamaur is a tough place, even if the mobs are several levels lower than you. It is best if you head there with a full group, or go with a smaller, well-balanced group, and take your time. For your comparison, here was our group make-up: Myself, a level 33 Hunter; Brasse, a level 32 Guardian; Risi, a level 30 Minstrel; Grif, a level 30 Captain; and Amaranth, a level 35 Burglar. Many thanks to Risi and Amaranth for helping The Brasse staff complete this quest!
STEPS:
1) Defeat 3 Gaunt Protectors. Eriac tells you:
"The western reaches of Agamaur there lie many ruins teeming with wights. Lurking in those ruins there must be the gaunt-men who command them! If you kill the gaunt-men protectors, the curses binding the wights might be broken."
The best way to get around in Agamaur is to utilize Brasse's incomparable map. The Gaunt Protectors are level 30ish Elite mobs with 4,250 morale and 709 power. They stand with Summoned Wights, and can be a bit tricksy to find. Here are the locations of three of them: (29.4s, 28.1w), (29.6s, 28.4w), and (29.8s, 28.9w).
2) Talk to Eriac the Strong.
3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and Beleglos.
