Arthedain's Lost Brethren

General Quest

You'll find Narthan, a shade, hovering next to a tree in the courtyard in Agamaur. Narthan's brethren have lost their hope of being released, and he wants to restore it. You will help in his endeavor by finding his people's shields that were lost on the battlefield.

NOTE: Garth Agarwen is chock-full of Elite mobs (singles and groups) with a sprinkling of Elite Masters to keep you on your toes. Enter with a strong group, and good luck! For your comparison, here was our group make-up: Myself, a level 31 Hunter; Kalib, a level 38 Guardian; Niva, a level 20 Champion; Sinistwen, a level 39 Champion; Seriphor, a level 33 Captain, and Pinion, a level 29 Champion. Thank you to all of them for helping me with this quest.

For questal efficiency, you may wish to work on these quests at the same time: Relics of Rhudaur and Long Overdue Justice.

STEPS:

1) Collect 20 shields of Arthedain. These shields won't drop from the Hill-men in Agamaur. Instead, you've got to trek to Garth Agarwen, which you'll access via Agamaur. Once inside, I suggest using Brasse's handy-dandy Garth Agarwen map LINK THAT MAP to plot your course of killing various Creoth mobs. Any of them (Disciple, Leader, Novice, etc.) has a chance to drop a shield, though not all of them will. The lowest level of these I saw was a level 29 Signature; most of them are Elites with levels ranging from the upper 20s to the low 30s, with the high levels hanging out in the farther parts of the zone. Note that many of them have Wolfhound allies with them, which are normal mobs.

2) Bring the shields of Arthedain to Narthan.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and Shield Finders Legs.
