Dwaling's Plight

General Quest

North of Oatbarton in Evendim you'll find Dwaling. Or rather, you'll find the few remaining original Dwaling inhabitants, before some evil Men took over that actual town. Where you'll find Hob is more like a glorified campsite.

Hob tells you how things used to be better in Dwaling, where "many of the best glassblowers in the Shire were found in these holes." Hob himself is a glassblower, but his contact for white sand has moved away. He is hoping you'll get him some sand.

STEPS:

1) Collect 15 bundles of white sand. Hob tells you:

"I used to get white sand for my glassblowing from a dear old friend who would travel into the Barandalf to the northeast of Dwaling, but he moved away not a week ago. If you would, travel up to the Sand Marshes and get me some. I would be deeply in your debt."

From Hob, head north and get around the aggro mobs before you head to the NE, which will lead you to a sandy area. You'll see white sand bundles all over the place for your collecting pleasure (19.5s, 63.5w and 19.5s, 62.4w are just two). There are aggro mobs on the beach (level 30-32), but you can collect the piles without fighting, if that is your wish, and you are careful.

2) Bring the white sand to Hob Hillbrow.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Trouble in Dwaling.
