Esteldin's Preparation

General Quest

It seems most of the people in Esteldin are busily preparing for an Orc invasion, or some sort of horrible war, and Faronwen is no different. Also as with the others, Faronwen has no time to do what needs to be done, and sends you to do it. You will be searching for some weapon and supply troves that her predecessor scattered throughout the area.

STEPS:

1) Collect 3 Ranger Troves. Faronwen elaborates:

"My predecessor stored many weapons and supplies throughout eastern Nan Amlug and Rhunenlad, but I do not know exactly where. I need you to seek out these troves and bring them to me. The thing that I do know is that these troves were all hidden near rocks and trees. This will not be an easy search, without proper guidance, but in these dark times, every resource we can gather will be of great help to us."

The quickest way to Rhunenlad from town is to take the dirt path from the back of town; it leads you straight into Rhunenlad (path starts here, facing southeast: 9.8s, 40.8w). Once there, Faronwen is right, this is not an easy search, though be sure to look for them near trees and rocks (as mentioned). I will note the coords of some that I found (11.3s, 37.9w; 12.1s, 38.w; 10.2s, 37.4w). Note that once you pick one up, it is gone, so you'll need to find enough for each member of your party. They likely respawn after some amount of time, but they didn't in the 30 or so minutes I sleepily sought them out.

They look like this:

2) Bring the Ranger Troves back to Faronwen.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, A Symbol of Hope.
