Meat for the Hungry

General Quest

The Quartermaster tells you of Othrikar's food troubles, and wants you to alleviate the hunger of its people by slaughtering some aurochs.

NOTE: For questal efficiency, work on the quests Aurochs Mantles and Food and Shelter concurrently with this one.

NOTE: Most varieties of the aurochs are not aggressive, though they are still a tough mob. They are Elite, and are in the low 30s. I saw a Wandering Hoar-Mantle with 4,987 morale and 785 power. You'll need a group to kill them, though; depending on your level this could be as small as a duo. My group blew through them quickly and easily: Myself, a 33 Hunter; Brasse, a 32 Guardian, and Amaranth, a 35 Burglar.

STEPS:

1) Collect 10 slabs of aurochs-meat. From town, head through Nan Amlug West to get to Nan Amlug East and hordes of these big cows. They are, truly, everywhere (here is but one location: 9.1s, 37.3w).

2) Bring the aurochs-meat to Orgrin.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Ferth-Fotar, Turdam, or Orgrin's Band.
