Brother's Plea, A

General Quest

Rusfold is a Jorthkyn settlement in the Nan Amlug East region, just on the edge of the mountains.

Iivari is attempting to prepare his people for war, but he cannot stop thinking about his brother, that left with the other Rauta-lehma to follow Angmar. Iivari wants you to contact his brother and determine how he truly feels about the situation.

STEPS:

1) Bring Iivari's message to Oskari. Iivari says to you:

"Take this message to Oskari-he is somewhere within the Rauta-lehma encampment at the place called Fashat Laug, well to the east of here. Perhaps he and others may yet be convinced to return to us before the end."

Oskari gives you a rune to deliver, saying

"It is all the answer from me that he will receive."

From Rusfold, the camp (Fashat Laug) is quite a ways to the east. There are many Rauta-lehma giants (level 30-32) within, so use patience and caution, particularly if you are alone. You'll find Oskari at the back of the camp, surrounded by a Rauta-Lehma Chieftain, Warrior and Hunter, plus some more mobs on the periphery (9s, 32.6w). You only need to clear a route to Oskari; it is not necessary to fight everything in the area. When exiting the camp, if you are short, it LOOKS like you can run underneath the Giant's tent flaps, but most of them you cannot. Plan ahead if you're making a hasty retreat so that you do not get snagged on impassable terrain.

2) Bring Oskari's rune to Iivari.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Staunching the Flow.
