Lost Map, The

General Quest

Regin figures that the Dourhands have the map that leads to the father-lode, and he wants you to get it back.

NOTE: For questal efficiency, take the Brew-Master quest at the same time as this one.

STEPS:

1) Collect the Dourhand Mining Map. Regin tells you:

"This is a big request, but if you can get that map back from Foreman Nyrad, I think we'll be able to find the father-lode at last! I suspect you'll find the map in a chest in Foreman Nyrad's tent at the camp, but he might also be carrying it around on his person."

The camp with the yeast is north of town, but due to mountainous obstacles, you cannot just run straight north to get there. Instead, head north from town, following the path (which breaks up once or twice). You'll soon see a lynx den on your left, this is about where you'll head northwest to get to the Thurum area. Straight ahead will be a walled Dourhand camp--avoid that for this quest. Instead, go to the camp on the left--this is Foreman Nyrad's camp, where he wanders about, and where a number of level 28-29 regular Dourhands are standing or walking around, being surly. The Foreman is a level 30 Signature mob, with a ranged attack, 1,908 morale and 443 power. He has a fast respawn in case he is dead when you arrive. I did not find the map on HIM, however. Instead, I found it inside his chest in a tent (4.9s, 45.5w).

2) Deliver the Mining Map to Regin.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, The Father-Lode.
