Fresh Steed for Bree

General Quest

This is the infamous, long-awaited by all those under level 35 HORSE QUEST. If you hate slogging around on foot as much as I do, you'll want to do this (provided you have the funds) as soon as you turn level 35.

If you have not been to Hengstacer Farms before, they are a short ways north of the Festival Grounds in Bree. Check your map and look for the dark horse on it. Yup, that is where it is. Also, you can utilize Alluvian's super-handy-dandy mapping tool and click on the coords to get an definitive idea of where Eogar is waiting to teach you about riding.

Eogar understands the pain of road-travel, and will let you learn how to handle one of his horses by enabling you to deliver it to the stable-master in Bree.

You receive a warning: "Clicking on the 'Mounted' induction bar gives you the option to dismount your steed but will also cancel the quest."

STEPS:

1) Take a fresh Blonde-Sorrel steed to the stable-master in Bree-town. Find the Blonde-Sorrel pony, and double-click it to get on. Once you are on the pony, your timer will start. This first route is quite straight-forward, if you are at all familiar with Bree. Head southwest to the road, follow the road south until you reach Bree, then head east to go through the West Gate. I made it to the stables in West Bree after using up about a third of my allotted time (29.5s, 52.7w). Your quest will automatically update after you reach the stables, and you'll dismount.

2) Talk to Eogar, son of Hadorgar.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Fresh Steed for Michel Delving.
