General QuestBefore he gives you your final test, Eogar wants you to deliver a fresh horse (or pony) to his old friend, the stable-master in Othrikar.
You receive a warning: "Clicking on the 'Mounted' induction bar gives you the option to dismount your steed but will also cancel the quest."
STEPS:
1) Take a fresh Bay steed to the stable-master in Othrikar. After mounting your Bay steed, head west (and a bit north) from the stables, then north out of Bree-land and into the North Downs. Another word of caution--don't have your horse take any big jumps. If you 'injure yourself in a fall', the quest ends. I wish I could say I tested this just for y'all, but uh, it was a dumb accident. This is why I do not suggest you take the route through the mountains near the stables!
Once in the North Downs, you'll ride through Trestlebridge and across the bridge (north). Then head north and a bit east through the plains of the Greenway, watching out for cliffs and such! Right around Minas Vrun I got back on the road, and followed it east until it ends. Then I turned left, taking the road north to Othrikar.
I am not sure if encountering aggro mobs will cancel this quest or not, and I did not want to test it--that was my main reason for sticking to the road. Oh, and not wanting to take a surprise fall too. Oh, oh, don't forget to stay clear of the water! The Othrikar stable-master is not too far into town, and my timer had just gotten to the "d" in "mounted" when I reached him (6.9s, 45w).
2) Talk to Eogar, son of Hadorgar.
3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Proving Your Quality.
