Some Disease Affects Them
General QuestWhile this quest does not have a direct pre-requisite, Rochwen will not offer it to you until you have spoken with her for the first step in the Trouble by the Last Bridge quest.
Rochwen suspects that the cave-claw mobs are afflicted with something that causes them to be more aggressive than usual. She wants you to "defeat whiskerback cave-claws wherever you find them, but especially among the ruins where they can be found in great numbers. Bring caution with you."
STEPS:
1) Defeat 14 Whiskerback Cave-claws. I decided to hunt these right around the area where Rochwen stands; you should not have trouble finding them (33.4s, 20w). The Whiskerback Diggers (level 34-35) and Scavengers (level 33-34) both count.
2) Talk to Rochwen.
3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and Rochwen's Boots.
