Wayward Companion, the

General Quest

NOTE: This quest will only be available to you after you complete the Scattered Belongings quest given by Aglardir.

Thaliollang believes that the nearby Stone-trolls should be eradicated. He has a friend that shared this belief, and who left to kill them. However, Thal's friend has not returned, and you are asked to search for him.

NOTE: For your comparison purposes, here is my fellowship composition: Myself, a 35 Hunter; Kari, a 32 Burglar; Brasse, a 34 Guardian; Grif, a 31 Captain; and Melariel, a 46 Minstrel. Many thanks to those that helped The Brasse staff finish this quest!

STEPS:

1) Search for Lagorlam in Taur Gonwaith. Thal tells you:

"It would put my mind at ease if you could find him. Look for him in the forest of Taur Gonwaith to the southeast."

Head southeast from Lin Giliath toward the forested Elite Troll area of Taur Gonwaith. You'll have plenty of Trolls (Rock-troll Brawlers and Rock-troll Hurlers, levels 28-30 Elite) to clear out before you reach Lagorlam, who is surrounded by three more of them (14.2s, 41.5w). This quest auto-updates when you approach Lagorlam, and then you begin the escort mission.

2) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Rescuing Vengeance.
