Stolen Ornament, The

General Quest

NOTE: In addition to finishing Rescuing Vengeance, you will also need to have finished the quest Provisions for the Glade.

Lagorlam has told Thaliollang that the Troll chieftain has an ornament that used to belong to Lachenn. You will be retrieving it.

NOTE: For your comparison purposes, here is my fellowship composition: Myself, a 35 Hunter; Kari, a 32 Burglar; Brasse, a 34 Guardian; Grif, a 31 Captain; and Melariel, a 46 Minstrel. Many thanks to those that helped The Brasse staff finish this quest!

STEPS:

1) Collect the Broken Ornament. Thaliollang tells you that the Troll chieftain is called Gurmagath, and he "retreated to a clearing east of where you found Lagorlam." Time to head back into the Troll forest, this time delving in more deeply. Gurmagath is indeed east of where Lagorlam was, and is a level 30 Elite Troll with 4,293 morale and 709 power (14.5s, 41w). Sadly, it turns out the big brute broke the ornament, as you'll see when you collect it from his body.

2) Bring the broken ornament to Thaliollang. You'll find him back in Lin Giliath, in his usual spot.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, The Troll-Keeper. If you have completed Scattered Belongings as well, then visit Baranwen to get the quest Disarming the Valley.
