General Quest

Billina is fine, but now the farm rooster, George, is acting odd. Wald wants you to find out why.

STEPS:

1) Examine George. George will also launch you into a Chicken Play session (32s, 74.5w). "George seems anxious." You will get 60 minutes for this session. You will have some additional skills now; be sure and check them out.

2) Talk to George. George tells you of his concerns.

3) Talk to creatures of the Shire. George says to you:

"Speak with other animals you encounter and see if you can find anyone willing to help us in our plight."

From the quest journal:

"The fox is along the Stock road. Old Sally often wanders into the hills east of Tuckborough, east of Sandson's Farm. Fang, Grip and Wolf patrol Bamfurlong, far to the east of Sanson's Farm and south along the Brandywine River."

I decided to talk to Old Sally first. Again, the roads are your safest routes, so go south from the farm. When the road dead-ends, go east towards Waymeet. Tuckbourough is southeast of Waymeet, and Old Sally is indeed east of town, not far from the Great Willow on a hill (34s, 70w). From there, flap northish to get to the Stock road (it's the long east-west road on the southern part of the Shire). About halfway between Tuckborough and Woodhall, close to the road, you'll see the Fox (33.3s, 67.8w).

Although the road is normally fairly safe, this is the area where a Brigand or two likes to patrol the streets, so be wary. After chatting up the Fox, get back on the road and follow it east until it starts to direct you to the north. From there, go south (there is a bridge and a path) to get to Bamfurlong. At Bamfurlong, you'll find Grip and Fang (34.3s, 64.4w), as well as Wolf, who wanders around the farm. Once you have spoken with all of these animals, you'll be able to select "Finish Now", and your Chicken Play session will end.

4) Examine George.

5) Talk to Wald Sandson. Wald tells you that George is better, but could still use some calming down, and urges you to speak with him.

6) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, and XP. You will also be able to take *SIX* new quests from George the rooster: Flying the Coop: Bree-land, Ered Luin, Evendim, Lone-Lands, North Downs and Trollshaws. I have to say…I am a completeist, and really would prefer to have every quest in the game eventually listed in our database…but I tried one of these, and it was such a painful experience that I will not be returning to it any time soon. Good luck!
