Crafting: Cook Quest

NOTE: This quest is a sub-quest of The Short Order Cook. You may only take it if you are in the midst of that quest.

This Rollo has some specific food items he wants you to prepare. You can find him inside the Plough and Stars Inn in Brockenborings.

NOTE SOME MORE: I could not find an Expert Cook in Brockenborings, so you may wish to purchase your shopping list ingredients beforehand. Jewel Underhill is such an NPC, and she is in Michel Delving, in The Delving Fields (34.6s, 75.5w).

STEPS:

1) Collect mushroom-pie. Collect 3 stuffed cabbage. Collect spiced apple pie.

2 Coarse Flour (Novice Cook)
2 Chicken Eggs (Novice Cook)
2 Lard (Novice Cook)
2 Water (Novice Cook)
2 Fresh Carrots (Grow or purchase from AH)
1 Common Mushroom (Grow or purchase from AH)
3 Cabbages (Find, grow or purchase from AH)
3 Pork Shanks (Novice Cook)
3 Yellow Onions (Grow or purchase from AH)
2 Shire Apples (Expert Cook)
1 Cinnamon (Expert Cook)
1 Honey (Find or Novice Cook)

First off, the Mushroom-Pie. This will require Pie Crust (go ahead and make two of these, you'll need one for the apple pie), Fresh Carrot, and Common Mushroom. The Pie Crust takes Flour, Egg, Lard and Water. These are Apprentice recipes. You will not be able to purchase the mushroom or carrots from an NPC in town (that I saw). I grew my own mushroom and had a carrot from one that I purchased elsewhere, a place I cannot recall (Bywater, I think).

For a number of other of your cooking needs, Walkelin Bolger is standing next to the oven and has Novice Cook-type things (27.6s, 68.2w). Next up, the Stuffed Cabbage: (per recipe) Cabbage, Pork Shank, Yellow Onion, and Fresh Carrot.

The cabbage is a Journeyman recipe, while the last, Spiced Apple Pie, is an Artisan one. That one will need 1 Pie Crust and 1 Apple Pie Filling. The Filling will require you to mix 2 Shire Apples, 1 Cinnamon and 1 Honey.

2) Bring the food he ordered to Rollo Bunce.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you are that much closer to completing the Short Order Cook quest.
