General Quest

Goldberry tells you that what Gil saw was Tarburz, a Wood-troll. She wants you to kill it.

NOTE: This quest is deemed a "Small Fellowship" quest, something that you could do with 2-3 people. You could also solo it, depending on your level. I was grossly too big when I did it, level 36.

STEPS:

1) Defeat Tarburz. Goldberry tells you:

"By fire and axe, sword and staff, if you wish to be rid of this creature, you must gather companions and go yourself to the Wood-troll's lair. The forests are deep and dark enough without such evil to mar their beauty."

She continues:

"Seek out the creature Tarburz north beyond the Far Chetwood, near Nen Harn."

This area is in the northeast section of Bree. If you wish to take the safest route, take the north-south road to the far north, and then turn east when you reach the area on your map that is the Northern Bree-fields. I found Tarbuzr in Nen Harn, at the southern tip of water from the lake, and in between the two groups of trees on your map (22.5s, 41.3w). He is a level 20 Signature mob with 1,023 morale and 240 power.

2) Talk to Goldberry. She wants you to tell Gil what you've done, to reassure him.

3) Talk to Gil Sandheaver. It's back up to Hengstacer farm with you!

4) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Menedhdail, Tarburz's End or Crusher of Tarburz.
