Rangers of the North
General QuestTo get to Oatbarton town in Evendim, take the zone-in from the Shire; it is the closest.
Hal likes chatting up the "strange Big Folk, those Rangers, up on the moors." Hal would like you to say hi to the ranger called Calenglad, should you find yourself in his area.
NOTE: For questal efficiency, you should work on An Island in the Lake and A Pilgrimage to the Past at the same time as this quest.
STEPS:
1) Talk to Calenglad. Hal explains:
"They have a camp a good ways north, on an island off the shore of Lake Evendim they call Tinnudir. It seems that if you follow the road northwards across the Barandalf sand-marshes and across the Brandywine, you'll come to a crossroads. If you take the left fork--that'll be the westward road--you'll eventually come to Tinnudir."
These directions are quite good. I crossed the water at the High King's Crossing, and proceeded from there on the roads, first north, and then west. Shortly after crossing the lake you will come to his encampment (he is just below the stable icon near Tinnundir on the map, 12.7s, 67.2w).
2) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward and XP.
