General Quest

Hithlim now has the permission of Halbarad to do launch an attack on nearby Trolls. He cannot, of course, do this without your help.

NOTE: For your comparison, here was our group make-up: Myself, a level 37 Hunter; Brasse, a 35 Guardian; Grif a 32 Captain; and Jasia, a 30 Minstrel. As long as we did not get swarmed by these critters we were fine. Thank you for all the help with this quest!

STEPS:

1) Defeat 16 trolls in Dol Dinen. Hithlim tells you:

"I would set you this task: gather allies and go to the troll-camps southeast of Esteldin, beyond the trenches of Dol Dinen and slay as many as you can."

Exit Esteldin out the back, which brings you into Rhunenlad. From here, travel to the southeast, and then follow the road south to get to Dol Dinen. There are Trolls at the large camp at the end of the road, but they are few in number, and you will be fighting lots of other mobs (with a very high respawn) just to get to them. These include: Ongburz Battle-Master and Ongburz Combatants, level 33 Elites, as well as some normal mobs.

The Trolls are typically Ongburz Rock-Heavers, level 33-34 Elite, and I'll list the location for the ones near the other mobs (14.7s, 37w). If you'd like a less crowded area to hunt the Trolls, they are not far from the area resurrection stone (14.9s, 38.7w and 15.3s, 38.3w).

2) Talk to Hithlim.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Weakening the Tide, as well as Siegecraft.
