Siege-Master

General Quest

Hithlim now wants you to take out the Orc's Captain, who "walks among his kindred which maintain the siege-weapons of the army at Dol Dinen."

NOTE: For your comparison, here was our group make-up: Myself, a level 38 Hunter, Brasse, a 35 Guardian, Fallinoor, a 35 Guardian, and Grif, a 33 Captain. If we had not been jumped by Pakonka, we would have done fine. Without a healer, this area is challenging--the mobs are tightly packed and respawn is super fast. Still, I was left standing (as was Brasse), at the end of the battle; sorry for the deaths of Fallinoor and Grif. Thank you for all the help with this quest!

STEPS:

1) Defeat Pakonka, Siege-master. Hithlim tells you:

"The scouts reported that the great beast retreated deep into Dol Dinen, within the shadow of the mountain overlooking the valley. You must not enter that place without many friends, for the danger is too great."

Follow the road that leads south to the Dol Dinen area. Next, go into a fort that is guarded by a Troll and some others. This area leads further up into the mountain, and into a section called Hisuk. Once inside, go uphill into another, large encampment. Here is where the swarming can really occur, so be vigilant. Fight your way through, and you will encounter Pakonka even higher in the mountain, though he does wander around a bit (15.8s, 36.7w).

2) Talk to Hithlim.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Pakonka's Conqueror, Siege-Breaker's Boots, Riambadanir, Club of the Shire-Muster or Celegechor.
