General Quest

Lovenol figures that the animals' corruption is the result of an Orcish defiler, so she wants you to kill him.

NOTE: For your comparison purposes, here was my fellowship composition: Myself, a level 38 Hunter; Brasse, a level 36 Guardian; Grif, a level 34 Captain; Fado, a level 45 Champion; Val, a level 32 Minstrel; and Naking, a level 31 Champion. Many thanks to all that helped me with this quest!

STEPS:



1) Defeat the Blogmal Defiler. Lovenol tells you:

"Seek him out within Fornost and put an end to his corruption!"

Head north from the Free People's Camp, then hug the wall to the right. You'll come to an entryway into a fortified area that is guarded by two Blogmal Pillagers, level 34 Elites (8.2s, 54.5w).

Once within, you'll encounter two Blogmal Raiders (Elite level 33) and another Pillager. Next up are two Field-Bear Cubs (Elite level 30-31) and a Raider. You'll head up the stairs, where there are lots more of the same mobs here, along with some normal Razortooths.

In the corner you will see your prey: The Blogmal Defiler (7.9s, 54.6w). He is a level 36 Elite with 5,561 morale and 1,296 power. He's got two of the normal pigs next to him, but during the battle he will call an Ancient Hoar-Mantle and an Ancient Field-Bear, both level 33 Elites.

2) Talk to Lovenol.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Shire-Ward's Knife, Defiler Sticker, Faerthail, Lovenol's Leggings, or Defiler Cleaver.
