General QuestArastil admires your courage, but requests you to help him with another task: killing the drake eggs in the pass so they cannot multiply.
STEPS:
1) Destroy 6 drake eggs. Arastil says to you:
"If we hope to use the western pass to gain entrance into Angmar beyond, the drakes will need to be driven out or destroyed. I have no doubt that there are drake-nests somewhere within the valley…destroy them before the drakes can multiply."
He also tells you to bring friends along, but it's a solo quest, these are not epic mobs, and I am three levels higher than the quest, so back to the western pass I go! You'll find the first drake-egg nest not too far in (4.9s, 41.5w). Not far from that is the second one (4.6s, 41.3w). To reach the third one, go up the ramp close to the second nest, and it will be at the end (5.1s, 41.6w).
I did not have trouble soloing this, but your mileage may vary. Do be wary of the level 31 Elite near the third nest.
NOTE: Since the time I first did this quest, it's been changed. The eggs no longer respawn as they used to. Instead, you'll need to go farther up the path, avoiding or killing the mobs, to find more eggs.
Says CaptainBoot: "The extra nests are clumped together if the people simply stay to the right. They can be found in a small cul-de-sac along with several worms. If your class can't handle more than one at a time, then you will need a friend though."
2) Talk to Arastil.
3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Mother of the Valley, as well as Scales of the Earthbound Foe.
Thanks to CaptainBoot for the updated quest information!
