Halbarad has one last request of you, to speak to his "chieftain", Aragorn, and let him know that the Council is ready.

STEPS:



1) Talk to Aragorn. Halbarad tells you:

"By now, Aragorn should have arrived at the refuge of Rivendell in the Trollshaws. It is a hard ride that awaits you, but word must be taken to Aragorn of these matters."

This will be quite a journey. First, get yourself to the Lone Lands, and take your preferred method of transportation all the way across the road to the eastern part of the land.

You will cross The Last Bridge, bringing you to the Trollshaws. From there, follow the path leading to the east. Cross the Ford of Bruinen, and from there it gets tricksy. You'll be making your way up the mountain, using lots of switchbacks.

I wish I could offer more help than this, but I had to follow someone there my first time after one unsuccessful attempt at finding the city. Once you're finally in Rivendell, make your way to the east side of town where you'll find The Last Homely House (29.8s, 3.4w). Straight ahead of you is Aragorn.

2) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Snake-Skin Locket, Thinker's Shoes, Derdail, or Rendail. You're now done with Book III!
