True Thieves, the

General Quest

Heithur is excited about how close you are to recovering the stones, and urges you to continue the search.

NOTE: While this is listed as a "fellowship" quest, Brasse (level 37 Guardian) and myself (level 39 Hunter) did not have trouble doing it.

STEPS:

1) Talk to Rochwen. Heithur says to you:

"Speak to Rochwen, north of here by the road, and recover those stones, Wren! Lord Gloin should not be made to wait any longer for the delivery he requested!"

Rochwen finds it very odd that Trolls would covet any stones, though she does give you directions on where to find the beasts:

"To the northeast you will find the home of many stone-trolls. One of them will have these stones, if any do. Nan Tornaeth or the Bruinen Gorges are too far away for any troll there to be responsible for this theft, so do not travel too far afield. And you should bring allies, for even a single stone-troll is a difficult foe."

2) Collect the Unremarkable Stones. To fight some Trolls in the level 34 Elite size, continue a bit down the road east from Rochwen. You'll soon come to an area with Hoar-Mantles, and a path (in the distance) leading northeast. Go up there to find the Stone-Troll Bonegrinder and Wildarm (33.2s, 18.7w). It took me about 10 Trolls (Brasse got it on the FIRST TRY, dang lucky dorf!) to get it, BTW.

3) Bring the unremarkable stones to Heithur Ironfist.

4) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and either Lord Gloin's Thanks, and either Tirithranc, Stone Finder's Gloves, Ladbeng, or Ironfist's Wall, and Rochwen will now offer you a quest, The Sons of Elrond.
