Staunching the Flow

General Quest

Iivari wants to cripple the traitorous Earth-Kin's weapon supply by having you defeat a few of the armourers that make their weapons.

NOTE: For questal efficiency, you may wish to work on the quest Hillmen of the North at the same time as this one.

STEPS:

1) Defeat 3 Hillmen Armourers. Iivari tells you:

"The armourers camp a short ways southeast of the mountain cleft path, called the Ram Duath by Dwarves and Men. Hunt them down and make it so they craft weapons no more, but be careful: their pack is many and strong."

I did this quest by myself, so I wanted to avoid the groups of Hillmen that reside in the encampments. Happily, one Armourer spawns in a valley where he can easily be fought without pulling any other aggro.

To get there, head to the road that runs north-south from Dol Dinen to Angmar. At the northeast part of the road it ends, and you'll find yourself in an area called Ost Crithlanc. The Hillmen Armourer (level 35 Signature, 2,411 morale and 419 power) wanders down and around the road starting from a nearby Hillman tent (8s, 34.7w).

2) Tell Iivari of your victory over the Armourers.

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Sealing the Pact.
