Treasure in the Ruins

General Quest

Helechir wants to know why his friends were killed, and urges you to warn another of his peers about the danger they may face.

NOTE: While this is a solo quest, I would recommend that you bring along a friend or two, to make it easier and more fun. Brasse, a level 37 Guardian, and myself, a level 39 Hunter, completed this quest together.

STEPS:

1) Talk to Sid Waring. Helechir says to you:

"Sid Waring is a friend to the Dunedain, and has a campsite in Men Erain a short distance south of poor Whitley's watch-post. Look for Sid on a small island south of the steps where Alfred Whitley and Iorthrenar met their ends."

Sid is sitting down, in despair, just where Helechir said he would be (15.3s, 66.2w). He tells you that he was attacked by some of his desperate kinsmen, and wants you to teach them a lesson. After you select "Continue Quest," your quest updates.

2) Collect 4 stolen relics. Sid tells you:

"Go to their camps here in Men Erain, recover the stolen relics, and bring them back to Tinnudir. Tell them there that at least Sid Waring has not forgotten his loyalty, or the oaths he swore."

From the quest journal:

"Some of the stolen relics are on an island next to Sid Waring's camp; others were carried to another island camp to the south in Men Erain."

The first two relics Brasse and I found were in a small ruin on the first island to the south (the one next to Sid's camp). You will need to clear out a fair number of quickly respawning mobs (level 39-40) before you can get inside. Once there, you'll get the two relics, and note that each member in your group can use them simultaneously (15.7s, 66.3).

The next small ruin is a bit further south, and it is shaped like the first, and also includes similar mobs and the two remaining stolen relics you'll need (16.7s, 66.6w).

3) Bring stolen relics to Helechir.

4) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and you will now be able to take the next quest, Murder in the Ruins.
