Vengeance in the Ruins

General Quest

Helechir believes that Brychan the Bald is responsible for the deaths of Alfred Whitley and Iorthrenar, as well as Sid's injuries. Time for some payback!

NOTE: While this is a solo quest, I would recommend that you bring along a friend or two, to make it easier and more fun. Brasse, a level 37 Guardian, and myself, a level 39 Hunter, completed this quest together.

STEPS:

1) Confront Brychan the Bald. Helechir instructs you:

"Brychan has a home in Ost Forod, to the northeast of Tinnudir. Return to the mainland and follow the road north from the crossroads of Canadiach until you arrive at Ost Forod. Look for Brychan the Bald and confront him!"

Once in town (following the easy directions above), take a right (east) down the hill just after you see Parr Chopley standing by a rock. At the bottom of the hill, lounging in front of a building, you'll see Brychan the Bald, wearing a hat (8.2s, 63.7w). After you speak with him and select "Continue Quest", your quest will be updated and it's party time!

2) Defeat Brychan the Bald. Brychan is a level 40 Signature mob, with 3,022 morale and 488 power. Brychan makes some bold claim:

"I'll take you apart!"

If you have trouble, you can run up the hill towards and Enforcer, who will attack the unsavory element you have uncovered. When he gets to about 1/3 health (604 power for me) he retreats, saying "Fine! Fine! I'll change my ways!" Oh right, like we believe that. He stands there for a moment, then seems to disappear into the building, saying: "I'm going back to sleep."

3) Talk to Helechir.

4) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, and Panthavron's Charm and either Win-Herthar, Balchelos' Helmet, or Brychan's Downfall.
