Signets of Rhudaur--Introduction

General Quest

The Last Homely House is on the east side of Rivendell, deep within the Trollshaws. Just after you walk in, turn to the right (south), and you will find Imyl, lazing against a column.

Imyl alerts you that "any who wear the signet of Rhudaur are not welcome in our lands," and that he will "look favourably upon you" if you bring him these signets.

STEPS:

1) Bring signets of Rhudaur to Imyl at Rivendell. Note that the quest text does not specify a number, but the first time you pick one up, you get an on-screen message stating that you have gotten 1/10. You will still be able to collect these even after you have gotten ten of them, though at the end of the quest Imyl only removes the ten he wants.

I found a number of these signets from the Wights and evil Hillmen that roam in the hills of Nan Tornaeth, particularly in the ruins of Amon Varadh and Ost Brandras. They were in the high 30s for their levels. Not every kill will drop one, and you can collect them without having this quest.

2) Bring the signets of Rhudaur to Imyl. (You actually will not get this quest step update, but after you have 10 of the signets in your inventory you can turn the quest in.)

3) After you speak with them and select "Finish Now", you get your coin reward, XP, Increased Standing with the Elves of Rivendell (+700), and you will now be able to take the next quest, Signets of Rhudaur.
